Prashant Dharankar is a well known agriculturist having experience of over 20 years in the field of Biotechnology. He completed his PG in Soil Science & Ph.D in Biopesticide formulation & dedicated his work in the service of Agriculture. As a soil scientist, he has been continuously engaged in the development of bio control agents & bio fertilisers. After rejecting the government service proposal, he started his career in the bio pesticide & bio fertiliser in 1997 by establishing the state-of-the-art laboratory at Nashik. At that time very few people were engaged in this business. He started with the idea of making popularize the biotechnological products among farming community. At that time farmers are also very unaware about the importance of bio inputs & its use in increasing the productivity of crops. In such a scenario, he took enormous efforts in educating the farmers by conducting meetings all across the India at village levels through audio visual aids & field trials. He worked on around 129 species of microbes with the help of agricultural Universities & Research Organisations to help building the large pool of strain bank of various micro-organisms. He has well expertise in manufacturing of Bio pesticide & bio fertiliser as he is the mentor of ENPRO group of companies. He has guided several youth entrepreneur to set up Manufacturing units. And now after 20 years, use of bio inputs become the need of the hour & farmers are very much aware about its importance in Indian agriculture for eliminating the use of chemical pesticides & fertilisers. On account of this he has received several national & international accreditations

Now a days large number of farmers using bio pesticide & bio fertilisers not only to produce export quality food but to minimize the heavy expenses on chemicals to control pest & increasing the yields of the farms. Farmers are very much happy that they are saving money as well as their valuable soil & environment
